Freemasonry is one of the oldest fraternal organizations in the world. It unites men of good character who, though of different religious, ethnic or social backgrounds, share a belief in the fatherhood of God and the brotherhood of mankind. Freemasonry offers a system or blueprint for the good man to further improve his character and actions through its system of degrees, symbols, and fellowship opportunities.
The United Grand Lodge of England reports that worldwide membership totals more than 6 million Freemasons, 1.1 million of whom are in North America. With over 60,000 Masons and 430 local Lodges, Ohio has one of the largest Masonic memberships of any state in the country.

Freemason Explained
Freemasonry is one of the world’s oldest and largest fraternal organizations. It is not a religion, and it is not a secret society; it is a society with secrets, primarily its rituals and traditions. At its core, Freemasonry is a system of morality and ethics, teaching its members to be better men and to live lives of integrity, honor, and service

Core Values The foundational principles of Freemasonry are often summarized by three core tenets:
- Brotherly Love: Practicing kindness, compassion, and respect for all members and for all of humanity.
-
Relief: Engaging in charitable work and extending assistance to those in need, both within and outside the fraternity
- Truth: Striving for honesty, integrity, and a pursuit of knowledge and moral light.
The values we live by
What We Do
Freemasons meet in local lodges, where we conduct our business and perform ritualistic ceremonies that use allegories and symbols, often drawn from the trade of medieval stonemasons, to teach moral lessons.
Community Service
Fundraising for local charities, hospitals, and disaster relief efforts. Masonic lodges and their members actively participate in a wide range of charitable activities, both publicly and privately. This can include.

What it is NOT
It is a common misconception that Freemasonry is a religion or that it worships a specific deity. While a belief in a Supreme Being is a requirement for membership, Freemasonry is non-denominational and respects all faiths.
True Friendship
In Freemasonry, true friendship is a fundamental principle and is often called Brotherly Love. It goes beyond simple companionship, creating an unbreakable bond built on shared values and a commitment to mutual support.
